While attending the Culinary Institute of America, the most prestigious culinary school globally, Derrick and Kylie discovered their love of Nashville Hot Chicken. Their passion for Nashville ran so deep that they got married in Nashville and named their firstborn, Nash.
Being that you could only get authentic hot chicken in Nashville, Derrick and Kylie set out to change that and make it available outside Nashville. When they heard about Parlor, the first food hall in Kansas City, they didn’t hesitate. They knew that would be the first location of their Nashville Hot Chicken concept, and this is how Mother Clucker was born.
Mother Clucker has become a destination location and an instant favorite to the local community. Derrick and Kylie are ready to take Mother Clucker to a national level and bring the Southern Comfort Zone to every Mother Clucker out there!
